Immanuel School

Calder C.A.D. transformed aa hardstanding playground for Immanuel School in Bradford. This process involved our sub-base and surface course installation services ensuring a durable, safe and attractive hardstanding surface, perfect for active students. 

Our team began by clearing the site of existing structures and debris, followed by the excavation of the site to the required depth based on the school’s design preferences. To provide a stable foundation, we laid a geotextile membrane to separate the subsoil from the sub-base material. We then spread and compacted aggregate in layers, ensuring a proper drainage and load distribution, creating a strong base for the playground. The final surface layer was then distributed, levelled and compacted to form a smooth and durable finish. Playground markings were then applied with our team conducting a thorough inspection, sealing any joints and checking the drainage system to ensure proper water runoff. 

In collaboration with Immanuel School, we created a space that inspires creativity, facilitate learning, and promotes community engagement. Our surfacing solutions are designed to withstand the rigors of daily use.
